Styles
There are many different styles of wedding photography. The most common are the traditional style, also known as classic, and the photojournalistic style. Other styles include, Studio, Fashion-based, and Contemporary. Many photographers incorporate more than one style when they photograph a wedding.
Traditional
Traditional wedding photography was one of the first major styles of wedding photography and is still today the most widely known. The concept of traditional wedding photography is to carefully pose each shot and where the subjects are always aware of the camera.
Photojournalistic
Photojournalistic wedding photography is a relatively newer style and is designed to be more raw, factual, and realistic, which stems from newspaper photography.
Studio/Fashion Based
In the past almost all photography took place in a studio. This was because of the limitations of the bulky equipment that photographers were forced to use. Even now, though, with all of the technology some continue to use the studio for the fashion or artistic look.
