On December 21, 2021, Ashley and Bret welcomed a beautiful new baby boy into the world – Enzo Michael.
Ashley originally reached out to me in November of 2021 to book a winter maternity shoot, sometime in January. Enzo, however, had other plans! He was born 11 weeks early, just in time to celebrate his first Christmas and have a pretty cool birth date of 12/21/21. He weighed in at just 2lbs 14oz.
Our maternity shoot naturally turned into a family shoot featuring their incredible new addition. Since their home was currently under a pretty substantial renovation, we started off the shoot in my living room, turned makeshift photography studio, and ended it at Onondaga Lake Park for some outdoor family shots.
The day of our shoot, Enzo turned 5 months old and was wide awake for most of the session, so I got to see and capture his beauuuutiful eyes, curious smile, and array of adorable facial expressions! Bret and Ashley also came prepared with a variety of outfits and props – Enzo is clearly a dino fan and future baseball star! During the session, I inquired about Enzo’s unique name and Ashley shared that she and Bret had each come up with their own separate list of names and Enzo just happened to be on both, so it was an easy decision!

Behind the Scenes
Enzo was LOVING the blanket I used to put under him and kept nuzzling his little face into it and smiling – how CUTE is he?! 🥺😍
Honestly, who can resist these eyes and this adorable little bow tie?! 😍
We planned the shoot during nap time, thinking Enzo would sleep through much of it, but he was much too curious and again, had his own plans. Modeling can get pretty tiresome, though, so eventually, he gave in to his sleepiness and took a short snooze, resulting in these darling shots below.
After capturing all of Enzo’s tiny little details, we headed down to the park for some family shots, including Enzo’s four-legged, big brother, Brutus.
It’s easy to tell that these two have already begun to develop a special bond themselves. 💙
Enzo was such a little trooper through the entire shoot, but he definitely let us know when he had had enough and was ready for some food and some real zzzs 😍😂
Ashley & Bret – It was great seeing you again – Congratulations! Enzo is absolutely perfect and it was so much fun to be able to capture these sweet moments of your adorable family!
