I am SO excited to share Theresa & Lucas’s wedding! I first met Theresa at one of her barre classes and I could tell instantly that I would love her. She recently opened her own studio in downtown Syracuse called FHIIT Barre and Bodyworks – You should all check it out! I was really excited to work with her when she asked me to be her wedding photographer and even more so when she told me about the venue. The Wellington House is a beautiful historic mansion tucked away from the road behind a few large trees near Towne Center in Fayetteville. The uniqueness of this location made it a photographer’s dream; the exterior was breathtaking, day and night, the grounds were covered with beautiful gardens and the interior had so much character which provided endless creative opportunities.

As we arrived on the gorgeous August afternoon, Lucas pulled in next to us, riding in style on his motorcycle. While Theresa and the girls finished getting ready, Lucas and his best man, Chad, took advantage of the pool table in the Gentleman’s Room down the hall.

The ceremony took place in front of the gardens behind the house. While the guests took their seats and the procession began, Theresa was planning a surprise. As Lucas anxiously awaited the arrival of his beautiful bride, distant honking could be heard. From around the front of the house appeared an antique car with Theresa being escorted by her father behind the wheel.

After Lucas and Theresa tied the knot and a quick family and bridal party photo session, the party continued with food, drinks and lots of dancing! We finished up the night with some fun backlit shots out front. All in all, it was a wonderful day & night to mark Theresa and Lucas’s official start together! Congratulations to you both!
