Meet Kayleigh

My passion for photography developed at a very early age. I used to set up photoshoots with my pet hamster, Daisy, using my very basic point and shoot camera. When I got to high school I took as many photography classes as I could, I discovered the darkroom and fell in love. I went to college and continued my education; developing my skills, my technique and my style. I studied graphic design with a large focus in photography. In 2009 I traveled to Amsterdam, The Netherlands with a Travel Photography class for a week.

I shot my first wedding in 2009, when I began an internship assisting a wedding photographer. Although I was slightly terrified to begin with, being that it is for most people, one of the most important days of his or her life, but I loved every minute of it. This was only the beginning for me. I absolutely love the connections that I make while photographing my clients. I come into their lives as a stranger and by the end of the day, we are friends.

I love seeing a bride glowing on her wedding day, a newly engaged couple crazy in love, the pure joy on a child’s face and the hilariousness that is an excited group of groomsmen. I strive to capture moments as they happen, candid and real. Pure interaction between family and friends in one of the most satisfying things to shoot. I also like to focus on the details, the little things that you may not think about or remember. Especially during weddings, I make sure I spend the time to get the small stuff; the details in the dress, the shoes, the jewelry, the flowers, the table decorations, and of course, the food; all those things that you spent time and money on while planning your perfect day.
