This year has been tough in many ways. I never in a million years, would have expected that when my best friend was going through her first pregnancy, the world would be in the middle of a pandemic and I wouldn’t be able to see her every step of the way. There have been some opportunities along the way for us to see each other and for me to snap some photos of their journey to becoming parents.
I loved the idea of a winter maternity shoot, but we were experiencing some rare warm weather for a CNY winter. The weekend we planned for, we were lucky enough to get some colder weather and SNOW! I got a little nervous driving down to Homer because I went through areas that didn’t have much snow, but by the time I got to Bre and Carl’s house I was greeted by a landscape beautifully dusted with snow – YAY!
Bre had chosen a gorgeous red dress that stood out beautifully from the wintery backdrop. We headed out for some solo shots before adding Carl in and eventually adding the rest of the family – Trax and Winnie 🙂 Their backyard was PERFECT for these – I couldn’t have picked a better location if I tried!
Behind the Scenes – As we made our way through the woods and captured these gorgeous images, Bre’s dress began collecting some souvenirs of its own. Keep reading to see how successful it was!
Sometimes being serious all the time gets boring…this is just one of many of these two being their true selves
We went inside to warm up before an outfit change and going back out into the cold. Winnie wasn’t too impressed with this idea…
Behind the Scenes – Update on Bre’s dress situation – that’s quite the haul!
We were able to get just a couple with the pups before they went crazy with the snow.
And the award for BEST photobomb EVER goes to Trax…LOL
SO glad the weather cooperated for us and that I was able to capture these images and memories for my bestie.
Congratulations again – excited for your next adventure!
